Is Google SEO dead in 2015? No way. The strategies you use for search engine optimization may die off but SEO itself remains. It’s evolving over time, based on technology and the changing habits of people.
These 2015 Google SEO tips reflect the evolution of technology and habits.
Google was officially founded on September 4, 1998. Who knew that it would become the number one search engine in the world? I love the meaning the name too. From the history of Google page:
“The name—a play on the word “googol,” a mathematical term for the number represented by the numeral 1 followed by 100 zeros—reflects Larry and Sergey’s mission to organize a seemingly infinite amount of information on the web.”
Over the years, people have relied on Google search to bring the best results for stuff they are looking for. Google has lived up to that and continues to stay at the forefront to ensure a great experience for its users.
On the other side of that, are website owners and online marketers who constantly traverse Google’s search in a race to the top of the search engine.
Every year it changes and we, as web publishers, need to stay on top of this evolution and make changes accordings.
Google SEO Tips for Publishers
Today I am focusing on three things. There are more Google SEO tips, according to my research. But these 3 ranked high in my opinion as items to implement now.
1) Mobile Friendly Websites and Labels
With millions of people taking to their smart phones instead of computers, this is one Google SEO tip that you must not ignore.
Google wants to provide their users with a great experience, whether on mobile or computer. In fact, they are penalizing sites that are not mobile compliant.
If you want to be found online, get your website in compliance with Google’s mobile friendly guidelines. You can find them here.
When you do a search using your smart phone, Google added these cool tags to indicate that the site is mobile-friendly. It’s pretty annoying to visit a site that is not compliant – so more and more, people will just pass over those sites that are not.

2) Quality Content
Remember the old days of keyword stuffing and fake backlinks? Well, those days are gone so pay attention to this Google SEO tip. Quality is king and highly relevant content is right up there with it. Make sure your content provides value and is compelling.
Hmmm. What to make of all this. If you get tons of traffic to your website and it’s not quality content, guess what? The user usually clicks the back button to get off your site. Keep users on your website by being relevant, useful, and focused within your site’s hierarchy.
3) Be Social
This goes without saying (what a weird phrase). While there is no clear connection between SEO ranking and social signals, sharing compelling content in social media will bring a whole new audience to your website. That matters to Google SEO in some way. Make sure your content is shareable in social media. If you create value-driven content that matters and can help others, then you’ve done your job. Getting seen and heard in social media is another proven way to drive more traffic to your website.
With hundreds of factors contributing to whether any given website appears high in the search engine, I have focused on these 3 Google SEO tips as being important in 2015.
