In this article I will show you some ways to follow up with your network marketing prospects.
First, I am stunned by the number of network marketers who don’t bother to follow up with prospects at all. Don’t be one of those people or you will definitely not succeed with your business.
Get in the habit of following up with every prospect!
How to Follow Up with MLM Prospects
Many people are afraid to follow up with their prospects. This can be a huge problem if you try to grow a business. So, here’s my advice. Just be yourself!
You want people to relate to you and you do that by just being you. Get to know people and let them get to know you. Show people that you care.
Here are few ways to follow up with MLM prospects:
- Email list. Keeping in touch on a regular basis through an email list is an important part of your follow up plan. When you use autoresponders, you will be reaching out to people on a regular basis and keeping yourself in front of them. Just remember to always provide value.
- Social media. This one is the easiest way to keep in touch with prospects. If you haven’t heard from someone in awhile, send them a message to see what’s happening in their life. They will be happy to hear from you. Remember, you are not pitching, you are just saying hello!
- Pick up the phone. This is clearly a great way to follow up with your network marketing prospects. Compliment someone in a genuine way and you will make their day! If you sent some information for them to look at, then follow up and ask them what they liked best about what they saw. Eric Worre of Network Marketing Pro has an excellent book, Go Pro which has some great examples!
- Send a card or postcard. With such a low open rate of emails, why not send a card instead! Let someone know how much you appreciate them. And the thing about a postcard is this: it’s a 100% open rate right? A person just turns it over to read it! I love using postcards to let someone know I am thinking about them and also to keep our relationship fresh. You’ll get a much higher retention rate regardless of what business you are in.
