When I started my first blog in 2009, I didn’t realize how powerful a blog can be. Your blog is an asset on the Internet that can potentially make money for you 24/7. I still earn income from blog posts that I wrote in 2009.
Your blog is the center of your universe. It’s also a passive income generator that takes time and patience but it’s well worth it.

How to Increase Blog Traffic
Before I give you a few great tips on how to get more traffic to your blog, let’s define “traffic.” Nope, it has nothing to do with cars. It’s simply means how to get more readers to your articles.
You can write the best and more informative blog post ever but if no one finds it or reads it, what good is it?
Here are 4 tips for you to implement to get more traffic to your blog.
Do Your Keyword Research. One time I wrote this great blog post. I did a search in Google and it appeared first on page one! I was so excited. Then I learned about Google keyword research. My keyword phrase was being searched for about 10 times a month. So much for my page one results! At this rate, my amazing blog post would never get any traffic. F
That’s why you need to do your keyword research first! One of the first lessons about how to get more traffic to your blog is to target terms and phrases that your audience is actually looking for. Write SEO Friendly Blog Content. Getting on the first page of Google for high-traffic keyword phrase is every bloggers dream. Those that make it to the first and second page of Google search results can reap the rewards of massive traffic to their blog. There is a lot to learn about SEO friendly blog posts but I will leave you with these quick tips.
- Confirm that your blog is mobile-friendly. Click here to find out.
- Count your words and make you write a minimum of 300 words. Your search term should appear naturally for an estimated 2 percent of the content.
- Use headings. Your title is a heading but you also need heading 2 and heading 3. Make sure your keyword is used in at least one of the subheadings.
- Write and publish blog posts on a consistent basis. If you write a post today and then again in 3 weeks, your blog won’t be on Google’s favorite list. Be consistent. Write at least 3 times a week.
Share Posts in Social Media. With millions of users, social networks are a must to share your blog post and another great way to get more traffic to your blog. Imagine if you share your post on Facebook and 10 people share it, and each of those have 10 people share it and so on and so on. Do the math.
Use Images. Pictures will make your blog post more interesting and creates another traffic source! People use Image search all the time. I learned about this a few years ago when I saw significant traffic coming from image searches. I usually like to brand my images so the user knows where it came from in case it’s shared.
