Remember the good old days? I do.
Go to school.
Get good grades.
Get a good job.
Be loyal.
Enjoy your golden years.
Well how is that working for you? Times have changed and if you really want to pursue the life of your dreams, you should do something different.
Maybe you thought about that before and asked advice of your family and friends. Here’s my advice to you: stop taking advice from broke, unhappy people!
Here is what the “good old days” really translates to:
School loan debt
Working 10 to 14 hours a day with no extra pay
No time for anything fun in life
No time for family
A couple of weeks of vacation each year to live it up
No money for retirement
The list goes on.
If you truly want a different life, you need a new plan in your life. Start thinking outside the “traditional” box and instead, think about the possibilities in your life. And maybe you don’t want a different life…that’s OK, too. Don’t read this if that is you.
Want More Out of Life? Stop Taking Advice from Broke, Unhappy People
A few years ago I took the leap from employment, where I was treated terribly and had no time, to owning my own business and taking charge of my life. It was the best decision I ever made! One of the many things I love about owning my own business is that I am surrounded with and am blessed to work with positive, like-minded people.
I talk to so many people every day that want more out of life. They are miserable but unable to take that leap. Usually it’s because they made a decision based on taking advice from broke, unhappy people. If this sounds like you, start thinking differently!
People who are broke or unhappy have settled for that and they justify it by giving you advice on something they know nothing about.
You get to choose freedom over security. Security is really a poor word choice because an employer can lay you off at any time.
You get to take charge of your life by making the simple decision to do so.
If you are willing to take a small risk that has the possibility of great rewards, would you do it? What is I could show you how your life can change in the next year?
Here’s how I like to think about it. The next year is going to pass whether you do anything different or not. If you continue exactly what you are doing now, you will be in exactly the same spot as you are now. Same money problems, same time problems, same everything.
Or, you can make a decision to do something different, starting on a part-time basis until you are generating full-time income. Yes, it’s possible! But only if you really want it!
