Creating goals is crucial to success in MLM. If you floundered around this last year, tighten up and create some serious 2015 goals for your business.
Here’s one of my favorite sayings:
“If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll end up someplace else.” ― Yogi Berra
Remember that success is not luck or happenstance. Success is a choice that everyone makes or not. Your 2015 goals should be focused around those activities that will move you forward in your business and your life.
The countdown to 2015 has begun. Have you reviewed your year? What went right? What didn’t?
What Went Wrong Last Year? What Went Right Last Year?
Before you set your 2015 goals, you should take a look back at why you did not hit your goals this year.
Maybe you see others in your business growing by leaps and bounds, but you are not. Perhaps you didn’t hit your money goal or didn’t attain the time freedom you were dreaming about.
Be honest with yourself as to why this happened. You may be working hard but not on the money producing activities.
If you see high achievers in your company, don’t look at what they have, examine what they do. That’s right. What are their daily habits? What are your daily habits?
Your 2015 goals should incorporate the habits you need to acquire in order to get what you want.
3 Tips to Set 2015 Goals in Network Marketing
Here are 3 crucial tips for your 2015 goals. Write down your goals and if you find yourself doing something that will not get you closer to those goals, stop doing that activity.
The countdown to 2015 has begun! Time to get cracking.
1) Evaluate your online marketing activities.
Are you still doing the same marketing activities but not getting results? Maybe you believe that if you just keep doing it, you will get a result. That may be true when you start out but if you have been at it for a while, change it up. Learn something new, step out of your comfort zone. Find a new strategy that will get you greater results. That’s part of your 2015 goal – learn and implement a new strategy.
2) Provide value.
You’ve heard it before and yes, it needs to be part of your “2015 goals” for your home business. According to Top Rank Blog, “Those that pitch are becoming ignored….. Get cracking folks, it’s time to actually care. That means dedicating more resources to things that are harder to track, like answering customer questions and providing more value online.”
Identify your audience and the problems that face, then solve them. Understand that this is a new habit for you create in your life. For example, if your company is about health products, the problems people face are focused on weight or feeling tired. You have the solution.
Create your 2015 goals and marketing strategy around relating to and solving those problems instead of pitching and selling.
3) Make your 2015 goals very specific.
If your goals are too general, how will you achieve them? If you want lots of leads, tell me how many? How much money do you want to make? I ask people this question all the time and get answers like “I don’t know.” Or “A lot.” Well if you don’t know, how will you get it?
Make your 2015 goals achievable with statements like:
- I want to generate 100 leads per month.
- I want to increase my income by $10,000 per month within 12 months.
Be specific so you know if you are even close to hitting your goals.
Without goals, what are you striving towards? It’s like playing a game of darts without the target. The dart goes to nowhere specific.
Believe in your dreams and most of all, believe that you can do it! Believe in what is possible in your life.
More important, if others are doing it successfully, that means it’s possible.
