While I was running an errand, I drove on the overpass overlooking the freeway. The cars were backed up for miles in heavy traffic. It was rush hour. That time of day when everyone is on their way home from work, sitting in heavy traffic on the freeway.
I remember when I did that too and how much I disliked it. There were better things I could do with my time. Have you ever felt that way?
What would you do with all your extra time if you didn’t have to commute? Better yet, how would you live your life if you could set your own schedule and not have to ask permission from your boss to take time off?
I used to feel so stuck and boxed in. I knew there had to be a better way. There was and still is.
It’s called the Internet.
Starting an Internet business is the best decision I ever made.
I no longer answer to a boss. I don’t have to sit in traffic to get to a job and don’t have to report to a boss that makes my schedule and determines my worth.
Life is much better this way and I am grateful beyond measure.
The best part about running an Internet-based business is I have more time to do the things that really matter to me, like spend time with my family and travel. Or anything else I want to do! A few months ago I traveled overseas to visit family and recently, I took my Dad on a road trip to visit a family member.
We had a great time and I still earned money while I was gone.
Reasons Why Running an Internet Business is worth it
Would you rather be stuck in traffic every day and live according to a schedule that is set for you…or be in control of your time, freedom and finances?
Here are some reasons why you should start an Internet business.
Residual income. In a traditional job, you trade time for money. An Internet business works differently. I still make money from blog posts I published in 2009. That’s residual income because I did the work one time and get paid over and over. My blog posts and videos are assets that are on the Internet working for me 24/7.
Would you like to make money while you sleep? You can with an Internet business. And speaking of residual income, you can also start a network marketing business and build using the Internet.
Do what you love. One thing that always bothered me about a job was that I had to work on projects that meant nothing to me, with people I didn’t choose to work with. And all that to increase my employers bottom line. In the end, they did not give a hoot about me.
Now I get to work with people I enjoy who share a similar mindset. I get to work on projects that have meaning to me and passionate about. It’s really not like work at all and I get to increase my bottom line as well as help others learn how to increase theirs too!
Access to more people. If you were to start a traditional brick and mortar or consulting business, you would be limited to geographic location. With an Internet business, the world is your playground. I have had the honor and pleasure of working with people around the world. I have access to an endless supply of people. The Internet allows us to extend our reach way beyond our wildest dreams.
Increased earning potential. When I started my Internet business a few years ago, I was selling single product and did quite well with it. I took what I learned and applied it to other products, therefore expanding my offering and increasing my income. I already learned the skills and applying them elsewhere was not much more effort.
Think about it. You can start an Internet business and your entire life can possibly change in a year.
I’ve been running an internet business for over 10 years now and I still love it. I started out making HTML sites but with WordPress making sites is so much simpler. Residual income has been the most attractive aspect of this business for me. I still get a little buzz when I see I made a sale from something I wrote years ago!
